Ignore Everybody Jacopo Daeli Software Engineer London, Nov 13rd 2015
Impero Friday Sharing
Ideas are cheap, because everyone has them. Make them real
is what actually matters.
When you really believe in a new idea, you have
to protect her, no matters what. This is extreme difficult, because very often the greatest ideas get destroyed by the people around us.
Everyone can kill your idea! Colleagues, friends, and even your
family.
In the end, everyone seems to be against you, and
that’s where you have to decide for yourself to use selective ignorance. Tobias van Schneider
Great ideas alter the power balance in relationships. That’s why
great ideas are initially resisted. Hugh Macleod
Couple of examples: Google Search Engine and AirBnB
Ignore everybody while working on a new idea. Don’t ask
for advice, go straight with it! But if you really want to do it, do it: if at least half on the people call you asshole, you got your validation, now prove them wrong. This is the fuck*** end
