8. In a sense is a dimension of shepherding. MENTOR,
9. Shepherds Feed, protect, and care for sheep.
10. Pulls up alongside human beings and model behavior, values and faith through the shared life. MENTOR,
11. We have a mentoring crisis in the Body of Christ these days.
12. Usually, mentors are people who are elders, more experienced, stronger members of the group to whom the younger look for identity.
13. A young and new Christian usually long to be like some admired Christian leaders.
14. When we don’t find positive mentors, by default, negative ones usually find us.
15. When we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by healthy, functional, caring people, we tend to become like them.

47. Acts 16:23 NLT 23 “They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape.”
48. Acts 16:24 NLT 24 “So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.”
49. Acts 16:25 NLT 25 “Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.”
50. Acts 16:26 NLT 26 “Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations.”
51. Acts 16:26 NLT 26 “All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!”
52. The faith of these two men transcended their circumstances in life.
53. They were sure that no matter what happened God IS in control and would have the best path for their lives.

59. 40 days without food,
60. 4 days without water,
61. 4 minutes without air,
62. 4 seconds without hope.
63. Knows that God is our only hope, our only sure hope. Faithful A mentor
64. CONCLUSION
65. The best mentors know how to point others to Jesus, the only flawless Mentor.
66. Good spiritual mentors know full well that they are only shepherds, not savior.
67. They know they are leaders, not lords.
68. They understand that they may be skilled guides, but they are not gods.
69. A good mentor, equals a good shepherd.
