  10. The formation of a gospel community gets to the “WHY”

    of Christ’s death & resurrection.
  11. The ultimate aim of the Gospel is the glory of

the God who brings salvation through judgment.
  12. 1 Peter 5:8 NLT 8 “Stay alert! Watch out for

your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”
  13. The most vulnerable members of any herd, flock or family

are those who have strayed or have been left behind.
  14. Be vigilant means to be alert to spiritual pitfalls of

life & take appropriate steps to make certain that we do not stumble.
  15. Psalms 145:20 NLT 20 “The Lord protects all those who

love him, but he destroys the wicked.”
  16. PROVERBS 2:8 NLT 8 “He guards the paths of the

just and protects those who are faithful to him.”
  17. Philippians 2:3 NLT 3 “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to

impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.”

own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”
  19. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT 11 “So encourage each other and

build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
  20. Sin steals joy, our bodies break down, our plans falter,

our dreams die, our resolve weaken, our perspective dims.
  21. ROMANS 12:4 NLT 4 “Just as our bodies have many

parts and each part has a special function,”
  22. ROMANS 12:5 NLT 5 “So it is with Christ’s body.

We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.”
  23. Paul uses the concept of the human body to teach

how believers should live and work together.
  24. ROMANS 12:6 NLT 6 “In his grace, God has given

us different gifts for doing certain things well.”
  25. ROMANS 12:6 NLT 6 “So if God has given you

the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.”
  26. ROMANS 12:7 NLT 7 “If your gift is serving others,

serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.”
  27. ROMANS 12:8 NLT 8 “If your gift is to encourage

others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously.
  28. ROMANS 12:8 NLT 8 “If God has given you leadership

    ability, take the responsibility seriously.”
  29. ROMANS 12:8 NLT 8 “And if you have a gift

for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”
  30. Our role is to be faithful and to seek ways

to serve others with what Christ has given us.
  31. HEBREWS 3:13 NLT 13 “You must warn each other every

day, while it is still “today,”

be deceived by sin and hardened against God.”
  33. HEBREWS 3:14 NLT 14 “For if we are faithful to

the end, trusting God just as firmly…”
  34. HEBREWS 3:14 NLT 14 “…as when we first believed, we

will share in all that belongs to Christ.”
