The iGaming market in the Garden State continues to be a significant player on the US landscape, with more users turning towards licensed sites. This feature will explore how much gaming revenue various iGaming operators generated in 2021.
The iGaming industry is growing at a fast pace in New Jersey, with seven major brands accounting for almost all of the generated revenue.
According to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement figures, the leading company is Borgata, alongside its sister company BetMGM – they and their other satellite brands have generated $402.2 million in revenue in 2021.
The second place was taken by Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG), whose revenue totaled $312 million. GNOG has officially reported a 41% year-on-year growth in its revenue for 2021.
And the third place went to Resorts group of brands including DraftKings, PokerStars NJ, and Mohegan Sun, and its revenue totaled $283 million in 2021.
The iGaming industry has seen strong performance and year-on-year growth in New Jersey and the US in general. The change is primarily due to seven new markets that were officially opened between 2020 and 2021. Every regulated US market except Delaware hit an annual wagering record in 2021. It's only a matter of time before it reaches full maturity, which will result in even more open opportunities and benefits for players!
