  1. In spite of the fact that we hadn’t communicated in

person yet, I felt that we were forming a real bond:
  2. The sms said don’t hesitate to call, so I didn’t...

just three weeks later I gave them a shout to take them up on the offer of my much- touted annual upgrade. Yaaay, thanks MTN, you guys are so totes ayoba!
  3. Sadly, things weren’t that simple, and after three days of

run around my assistant received this mail...
  4. 3 days after applying for the upgrade 10 days after

    receiving the last Prestige newsletter
  5. A series of calls and mails follows, eventually one of

my staff gets CCd in this mail...

  10. - Sign up customer with an average spend of R1000

p/ month to Prestige programme. - Tell them this gives them a free annual upgrade. - Wait for them to apply for upgrade. - Kick them off the programme due to low spend. - Add insult to injury by mentioning clear Ts & Cs MTN’s loyalty programme: a summary Basically, I never stood a chance.
  11. Well played MTN, well played. It’s been a long time

since I’ve been given such a proper rogering...
