Project Overview •  Statewide orthoimagery •  Base –  Leaf-off high resolu.on –  0.5 meter statewide –  275,350 square miles •  Buy-ups –  leaf-off high resolu.on –  6” over select populated areas –  7,048 square miles –  12” over select populated areas –  7,078 square miles •  Required to deliver no “NO DATA” .les for the en.re project 12

Ground Control •  Surdex surveyed 775 ground control points and u.lized an addi.onal 600 points for the en.re project •  Base imagery –  0.5-meter imagery processed and delivered in three (3) UTM Zones (13, 14 & 15) –  Meters •  Buy-up imagery –  6” & 12” imagery processed and delivered in four of the five Texas State Plane Coordinate zones –  US Feet 13

Aerial Imagery Acquisi.on •  Original acquisi.on schedule –  Dec. 1, 2014 and Mar. 15, 2015 •  Resolu.ons –  Three resolu.ons acquired simultaneously •  Interna.onal requirement –  Wriien permission needed from Mexico to fly the border –  1st Permit process started Nov. 2014 –  Issued in Mar. 2015 expired Jun. 2015 –  2nd Permit process started Nov. 2015 –  Issued in Dec. 2015 expired Apr. 2016 14

Aerial Imagery Acquisi.on (cont’d) •  Due mainly to weather/clouds, ac.ve Military Opera.ons Areas (MOAs) –  78% of the 0.5-meter imagery was acquired by Mar. 15, 2015 •  Season 1 is 92% complete •  Season 2 is 91% complete •  Season 3 is 69% complete •  Season 4 is 2% complete –  63% of the 6” imagery was acquired –  15% of the 12” imagery was acquired 15

Extensions •  Deadline was extended from Mar. 15 to Aug. 5, 2015 –  In areas that would not have much change in the foliage –  91% of the 0.5-meter imagery was acquired by Aug. 5, 2015 •  Season 1 is 100% complete •  Season 2 is 99% complete •  Season 3 is 89% complete •  Season 4 is 33% complete –  100% of the 6” imagery was acquired –  45% of the 12” imagery was acquired 16
