Xwind© is an extensive application consisting of a powerful simulation engine in combination with an input and dashboard interface. Parameters included in the application such as: ▪ Financial (owner fraction, discount-, depreciation- and tax rates etc.) ▪ Investment profile (plant cost, contingency, allowance, utilities etc.) ▪ Operational factors (organization, management, up- time/regularity, wind speed etc.) ▪ Power grid (regularity, net cost, power pricing etc.) The powerful engine calculate changes in an instant and impact on predefined output parameters correspondingly.
5. In Use Input Interface The interface is only to be used to set the base case parameters i.e. only once. Base case parameters is such as; financial data, investment profile, operational factors etc. Changes to base case is managed by slide bars in the simulation engine. Target Setting Set you targets e.g. return on investment, capex elements etc., all key factors impacting and used to calculate the target is predefined in the model as part of the customization process. Simulation Test your base case assumptions by running a simulation. During simulation you may also test the sensitivity using slide bars of the individual key factor and interdependency with other factors. This can be done to identify upside potential or/and critical risk factors. A customization may include portfolio management i.e. to simulate different options versus each other or to roll out different scenarios for single options. Decide & Monitor The result will be displayed by Xwind© dashboards defined according to your needs. The dashboards illustrate key performance indicators critical for your decision making. When decision gate is passed you may use Xwind© to monitor achieved results and impact of these on your targets.
6. Dashboards Business Dashboards to track KPI’s, performance, effectiveness and other keys relevant for the wind project as return on investment (NPV/IRR), cash flow, production and offtake. We use dashboards to simplify and achieve a logical set up of complex data sets. This gives a visual illustration of results and impact of changes. Xwind© simulation engine is designed with slide-bars to entail easy management of changes. This enables fast and easy calculation of changes in investment and operational parameters such as NPV, cash flow and production figures. Results can be easily exported to Excel worksheets.
