Ø You can work on CPT either full-time or part-time. Ø CPT requires a signed cooperative agreement or a letter from your employer. Ø If you have 12 months or more of full-time CPT, you are ineligible for OPT, but part-time CPT is fine and will not stop you from doing OPT.

  9. WORK IN CANADA WORK DURING STUDIES   As of

    June 1, 2014, you may qualify to work off campus without a work permit. If you qualify, your study permit will allow you to work up to 20 hours per week:  Ø during regular academic sessions and full-time during scheduled breaks, such as the winter and summer holidays or spring break.  Ø To qualify, you must:  Ø have a valid study permit,  Ø be a full-time student,  Ø be enrolled at a designated learning institution at the post-secondary level or, in Quebec, a vocational program at the secondary level, and  Ø be studying in an academic, vocational or professional training program that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate that is at least six months in duration.   Work as a co-op or intern   To be eligible for a work permit, you must meet the following conditions:  Ø You must have a valid study permit.  Ø Your intended employment must be an essential part of your program of study in Canada.  Ø Your employment must be part of your academic program, certified by a letter  from a responsible academic official of the institution.  Ø Your co-op or internship employment cannot form more than 50% (percent)  Ø of the total program of study.  
  10. WORK IN CANADA Work After Studies   The post-graduation

    work permit (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.   Skilled Canadian work experience gained through the PGWPP helps graduates qualify for permanent residence in Canada through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).   A work permit under the PGWPP may be issued for the length of the study program, up to a maximum of three years. A post-graduation work permit cannot be valid for longer than the student’s study program, and the study program must be a minimum of eight months in length.   For example, if you graduate from a four-year degree program, you could be eligible for a three-year work permit if you meet the criteria. If you graduate from an eight-month certificate program,  you would be eligible for a work permit that is valid for no more  than eight months.   
  11. WORK IN CANADA Ø To obtain a work permit after your

    graduation, you must meet the following requirements: Ø You must have studied full time in Canada and you must have completed a program of study that lasted at least eight months. Ø In addition, you must have graduated from: Ø a public post-secondary institution, such as a college, trade/technical school, university or CEGEP (in Quebec), or Ø a private post-secondary institution that operates under the same rules and regulations as public institutions, or Ø a private secondary or post-secondary institution (in Quebec) offering qualifying programs of 900 hours or longer leading to a diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP), or Ø a Canadian private institution authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees but only if you are enrolled in one of the programs of study leading to a degree as authorized by the province and not in all programs of study offered by the private institution. Ø You must apply for a work permit within 90 days of receiving written confirmation (for example, a transcript or an official letter) from your institution indicating that you have met the requirements for completing your academic program. Ø You must have completed and passed the program of study and received a notification that you are eligible to obtain your degree, diploma or certificate. Ø You must have a valid study permit when you apply for the work permit.
  12. FEDRAL WORK PERMIT As of May 1, 2014, Citizenship and

    Immigration Canada will only consider federal skilled worker (FSW) applications from people who have: at least one year of continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time) work experience in a single occupation, within the last 10 years, ,and who are: Ø in one of the 50 eligible occupations, and whose application is received under the occupation’s sub-cap and overall FSW cap, or Ø with a valid offer of arranged employment, or Ø who are applying under the PhD stream (see below) until the PhD cap of 500 applications is reached. All applicants must also: Ø Meet the minimum language threshold (and submit approved language test results), and Ø Submit a Canadian educational credential or foreign credential and an assessment of their foreign education from an approved agency, and Ø Meet all requirements of the FSW Program.  
  13. FEDRAL WORK PERMIT Federal skilled workers (FSW) are chosen as

    permanent residents based on their ability to settle in Canada and take part in our economy. We assess them on their English and/or French skills, Education, Work Experience, and Other factors that have been shown to help them prosper in Canada.   B) Minimum requirements   Work experience   If your application is eligible to be processed, we will then assess it to see if your work experience, as described above, is valid.  Your work experience must be:  at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,  paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),  in the same occupation, and  within the last 10 years,  You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed. If you do not show that  your experience meets the description in the NOC, we will refuse your application.   Language ability  IELTS 6.0 IN EACH MODULE OR EQUIVALENT 
  14. FEDRAL WORK PERMIT Education  You must have:  a

    Canadian diploma, certificate, or credential OR  a foreign educational credential, and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) by an agency approved by CIC to show it is equal to a completed Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational credential.   About the application cap  As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer.   C) Six selection factors  If you meet all the conditions set out in sections A and B above, we will process your application based on the six selection factors in the skilled worker points grid.  These factors are part of a 100-point grid used to assess federal skilled workers. This means you earn points for how well you do in each of the six factors. The total points will show if you qualify. The current pass mark is 67 points.   D) Proof of funds  You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you arrive in Canada. Starting from C$11,824 for 1 family member to C$31,291 for 7 or more family members  
  15. Study in Australia Ø You must be accepted for full-time study

    in a registered course or part of a registered course to be eligible for this visa.  Ø Enough money to pay for travel, tuition and living expenses for yourself, your partner and your dependent children for the duration of your stay in Australia.  Ø IELTS test score of: 6.0 or above for direct entry into a course;  Ø or 5.5 to do a foundation course to be taken before your main course;  Ø or 5.0 with an ELICOS course to be taken before your main course. You can study a preliminary English course for up to 30 weeks.  Ø Successfully completed Year 11 or equivalent,  Ø Must meet certain health requirements  Ø Must have health insurance while in Australia.  http://www.immi.gov.au/Study/Pages/Study.aspx  
  16. Study in Australia The Australian Study Visa system is divided

    in the following SubClasses:   Independent ELICOS Sector visa (subclass 570)  Ø This visa allows you to stay in Australia to study a full-time English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS).​  Schools Sector visa (subclass 571)  Ø This visa allows you to stay in Australia to study a full-time school course.​  Vocational Education and Training Sector visa (subclass 572)  Ø This visa allows you to stay in Australia to do postgraduate research.​  Higher Education Sector visa (subclass 573)  Ø This visa allows you to stay in Australia to study a full-time higher education course.​  Postgraduate Research Sector visa (subclass 574)  Ø This visa allows you to stay in Australia to do postgraduate research.​   It is very important that a student must apply for a Visa under the correct  Category under the Australian Study Visa Guidelines.    http://www.immi.gov.au/Study/Pages/Study.aspx  
  17. Study in Australia Non Award Sector visa (subclass 575) 

    Ø This visa allows you to stay in Australia to study a full-time: non-award foundation studies course course or components of a course (other than ELICOS) that does not lead to an award.​  Training and Research visa (subclass 402)  Ø This visa allows you to:  Ø take part in structured workplace-based training to enhance your skills in your current occupation, area of tertiary study, or field of expertise (Occupational Trainee stream)  Ø participate in a professional development training program in Australia after being invited to do so Professional Development stream Ø observe or participate in an Australian research project after being invited to do so (Research stream). Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)  Ø This visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution.   18. Work In Australia If a Student wants to work after

    finishing studies they have two options:  Ø Graduate Work stream – for international students with an eligible qualification who graduate with skills and qualifications that relate to an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL).  Ø A visa in this stream is granted for 18 months from the date of grant.  Ø Post-Study Work stream – for international students who graduate with a higher education degree from an Australian education provider, regardless of their field of study. This stream is only available to students who applied for, and were granted, their first student visa to Australia on or after 5 November 2011.  Ø A visa in this stream can be granted for up to four years from the date the visa is granted, depending on the visa applicant's qualification. THEN, WHEN YOU HAVE FOUND A JOB, YOU CAN APPLY FOR A FURTHER VISA FOR UP TO TWO OR THREE YEARS UNDER THE STUDY TO WORK CATEGORY.   26. Work In Germany Post Study Work   Foreign nationals

    can extend their residence permit for up to 18 months in order to seek employment relevant to their qualification whilst here in Germany.  After 3 years of working in an adequate job, a BLUE Card for 26 Schengen countries will be granted upon request   Jobseeker’s visa   Since 1 August 2012, foreign graduates with a German or other recognised university degree or a foreign degree comparable to a German degree will be eligible to enter Germany to seek employment. Holders of a jobseeker’s visa may stay in Germany for up to six months to seek employment whilst in the country. To obtain a jobseeker’s visa, applicants must simply furnish proof of their university degree and that they can support themselves for the duration of their planned stay. While seeking employment, jobseekers are not permitted to work, whether on a self-employed basis or otherwise.
