  1. Step 1  Go to gmail.com and login to your

    email.  Click on the gear in the top right-hand corner.  Click “settings”
  2. Step 2  Look at the section called “Browser Connection”

     Double check that “always use https” is selected- there is no need to change this setting  If this setting is not checked, Google search the error code you receive from the checker. This tutorial will not help you if this setting is not originally checked.
  3. Step 3  Now go to this url: http://x.co/p6BR, or

    scan the QR code below  Click on PC, as this tutorial is for PC only.  Scroll down and click “Download the patch”
  4. Step 4  Extract the file.  You should get

    two files, notifier_https_undo.reg and notifier_https.reg. Double click the file called “notifier_https.reg”. If it asks you to confirm the action, click yes. Now try using Gmail notifier again, and it should work. and
  5. Didn’t work?  If Gmail notifier still doesn’t work, double

    check you opened “notifier_https.reg”, and not the other file. At first, the two look identical, but if you click once on both, it will show each files’ full file name.
