Miami AI Search Visibility Study 2026: 515 Busi...

Miami AI Search Visibility Study 2026: 515 Businesses Tested on ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini

Original research from AEOGeoAI (Miami Beach) testing whether 515 independent Miami-Dade businesses — health, legal, and real estate — get cited when generative AI systems answer local recommendation queries.

Key finding: 99.6% received no genuine AI citation. Institutions (Cleveland Clinic Florida, Greenberg Traurig, Related Group) dominate responses instead of comparable independents.

It just never named the tested business. KEY FINDING AI almost never failed to answer local business questions. Instead, it answered them by naming competitors while omitting the tested business. aeogeoai.net/miami-ai-visibility-study

C O M PA R I S O N Is this a healthcare finding, or a structural one? Metric Health (n=298) Legal (n=120) Real estate (n=97) True zero 0% 0% 1.0% Category-adjacent, unnamed 99.3% 100% 99.0% Genuinely named 0.7% 0% 0% Cross-model citation 0 businesses 0 businesses 0 businesses The pattern replicates closely across three independently tested sectors — health, legal, and real estate — despite having nothing in common structurally: roughly 99–100% of independent Miami-Dade businesses show no genuine AI citation. This is more consistent with a structural feature of how AI builds local recommendations than a healthcare-specific anomaly. This report covers all three sectors together. See the companion single-sector reports for full category-level detail on health, legal, and real estate individually. aeogeoai.net/miami-ai-visibility-study

This consistency suggests a structural feature of how AI builds local recommendations — not a single-state anomaly. We can only speak to the three states tested so far — this has not yet been tested beyond New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. aeogeoai.net/miami-ai-visibility-study
  9. I MP LI C AT I O N S What

this means for Miami-Dade businesses Not a ranking problem A business can rank page one on Google and still have zero genuine AI citation. Not a quality problem "Personalized service" and "comprehensive offerings" are exactly what independent businesses across all three sectors already claim — the gap is third-party confirmation, not substance. A visibility problem AI systems need independent, structured, repeated confirmation from external sources before naming a business — in health, legal, and real estate alike. LOCAL AI FEATURE — MIAMI Close the entity visibility gap We publish structured entity articles about Miami-Dade businesses on verified local publications already indexed by AI systems, creating additional third-party entity references that may improve the likelihood of AI citation over time.
