2. “LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY…" LUKE 1:11
3. DECLARE DEPENDENCE ON GOD I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:5-7
4. BUILD RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:15-16
5. ASK AND GOD WILL RESPOND If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:24
6. BUILD GOD’S KINGDOM Believe in me when I say that I am in the Father and he is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater than these, because I am going to the Father John 14:11-12
7. SENSE GOD’S GLORY Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world John 17 : 24
8. SENSE GODS GLORY But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the son of man standing at the right hand of God.” Acts 7:55-56
9. SENSE GOD’S GLORY For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
10. FOLLOW GOD’S WORD For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. John 17:8
11. FOLLOW GOD’S WORD Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17 …the word of God is living and active Hebrews 4:12
12. UNITED IN GOD’S LOVE That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. John 17:21-23
13. UNITED IN GOD’S LOVE By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 2 Peter 1:4
14. ADVANCE GOD’S MISSION Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. John 17:17-18
15. EXPERIENCE GOD’S JOY I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world that they may have the full measure of joy within them John 17:13
