  7. 8 Industry Assistance Office Mission and Objective Mission Provide a

    liaison between Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), NASA Headquarters, and Industry. Plan, organize and administer GSFC’s small and small disadvantaged business program. Objective The GSFC Industry Assistance Office (IAO) works closely with the GSFC procurement offices and the technical community to identify significant procurement opportunities for small business participation. IAO reviews all acquisitions and is the first step in the procurement process. At GSFC, the Small Business Specialist and senior management ensure all aspects of small business issues are reviewed and addressed to the benefit of all parties.

    The requirement consists of the operation and maintenance of the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility (CSBF) and engineering services to support the NASA Balloon program. It is anticipated that the performance will be for a period of five years commencing on April 24, 2014. CSBF is a Government-owned facility located in Palestine, Texas, with a permanent balloon staging facility at Fort Sumner, New Mexico. The Contractor will be required to provide facility operation and maintenance for the CSBF, operational balloon flight support including launching, tracking, and recovery of the scientific balloons and payloads and engineering services for operational support, quality control, and balloon research and development, located at the CSBF, Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), Wallops Island, VA and at the Contractor’s facility.     V) Scope of Work: Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP, pronounced 'soup'), is a multi-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle focused on IT products and product based services.
