    desire to glorify God is a healthy church.
  5. A Healthy Church Worships God with a Genuine Spirit of

    Devo)on “They were con*nually devo*ng themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe.” –Acts 2:42-43
  6. A Healthy Church Balances Biblical Instruc)on with Personal Applica)on Look

    for worship and instruc9on coupled with compassionate applica9on; this reveals a healthy church.
  7. A Healthy Church Exudes Warmth The healthy church is a

    community of believers who demonstrate genuine concern for each other.
  8. A Healthy Church Reaches Out to Others A healthy church

    helps people appropriately express their faith where they live or work.
  9. A Healthy Church Has a Contagious Style –  It is

    biblical in content. Messages are based on the Word of God, not on the opinions or interests of the preacher. –  It is authen*c in nature. This is a church that believes what it says. – It is gracious in aVtude. The church sees itself as a family, not as a corpora*on. –  It is relevant in approach. This church shows how God’s Word applies to today’s needs, issues, and concerns.
  10. A Healthy Church Deals with Conflict Well •  It is

    not about the what (the issue is) it is about how we communicate to each other. We will disagree but do we s*ll love and care for each other aYerwards. Can we agree to disagree well?
  11. A Healthy Church is Thankful and is Dedicated to Prayer

    •  We are the instrument to bring Hope •  1 Thess 5: 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, puVng on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salva*on as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salva*on through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
  12. A Healthy Church is Thankful and Dedicated to Prayer • 

    1 Thess 5:13b: Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disrup*ve, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be pa*ent with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray con*nually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
