  1. question of the day If the world we experience is

a mental construct, how does this affect our ability to know what things are really like?
  2. theories of knowledge 1. empiricism Mind passively receives information from

outside. Knowledge requires dropping pre-conceived ideas about things and seeing them for what they are. 2. rationalism Mind deduces the basic nature of things. Knowledge involves inferring the true nature of things from basic principles. 3. constructivism The mind actively constructs experience from sensory inputs. How is knowledge of a real world even possible?
