Why should you bother finding and codifying your purpose?
Because people who are connected to their purpose experience more meaningful relationships, better health, and career advancement.
Who doesn’t want that?
I want to help as many people as possible to understand the importance of authentic personal purpose as foundational to authentic and impactful corporate purpose.
There is an abundance of literature on purpose out there, on blogs, vlogs, and books.
And where my new book “Codify Your Purpose” seeks to be different is to bridging personal and corporate purpose. I want to help people to
My intention is to bridge this gap with simple tools and a natural path to codifying the individual purpose because if we truly want to make the world a better place, and to positively impact reality, we need to know our individual purpose.
Many people no longer remember their purpose. Others don’t feel they need one. Others think “purpose” is just a slogan, while still others have no idea what it is or what it’s for.
But if entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs have no idea what their purpose is, how will they ever understand its value? How will they apply or enable purpose within their organizations?
The simple answer is, they can’t. It’s impossible to do unless they codify their individual purpose first.
By avoiding this stage the risk is to simplify by creating a marketing slogan or by having someone do it. By the way, this explains why, in most cases, the purpose is seen as the endpoint of a superficial approach, a kind of catchy slogan.
Helping people clarify their individual purpose – and, by extension, identifying and enabling their company’s purpose – involves three different steps in a natural "one-way-only" sequence.
The book is a guide to successfully navigating through the first step of the following sequence.
1) encoding purpose at the individual level
2) identifying purpose at the corporate group level
3) enabling, activating, embedding purpose in the company (using a purpose-driven business framework)
In a world with a crisis of meaning, we need hope for the future and a path to reclaiming our purpose as we build that future.
And the new book “Codify Your Purpose”, shows that path to navigate through a discovery journey and provides readers with simple tools and practical answers to these and many other questions:
– What is purpose?
– Why is purpose so important?
– Why do you need a purpose?
– What do you need to know before getting started?
– How do you write a purpose statement?
– What are the components of a purpose statement?
– How do you know when you have found your purpose?
At the end of the book, the reader who will put in consistent work will be able to write down – to codify – the individual purpose.
