  15. Lessons Learned • When presented with a flood of information,

    places, objects and details, students have to make choices about what the story is • Use a telling detail or a single theme to tell the broad story in a more intimate and engaging way
  16. Lessons Learned • Find a way to reward risk-taking; these

    projects can fail spectacularly, or open up your thinking to a whole new approach • Think across media: even if you start pencil sketching on large-format paper, your end result may be far different from a big display graphic

  20. Lessons Learned • In a multi-screen, multi-platform world with mobile

    devices and internet access, you can be more than a proxy for the experience (an account, a planning guide) • Instead, you can accompany the experience, become a living utility that enables the user to more fully engage with the story, place, process, adventure
