Founders Gajan Mohanarajah Co-Founder and CEO Arudchelvan Krishnamoorthy Co-Founder and CFO Conceptualized and developed Rapyuta, for RoboEarth, an EU funded project that pioneered an internet for robots. Led the Cubli project in 2013, recording more than 10 million views on YouTube. Ph.D. from ETH Zurich in 2014 and M.Eng/B.Eng from Tokyo Institute of Technology. A.Eng from Kurume National College of Technology, Japan. Former founding Partner & CIO at Fund of Tokyo, a global macro hedge fund. Worked for Nomura Securities, as an equity derivatives analyst. Gajan and Arul came to Japan from Sri Lanka to study robot control engineering. Pursue different careers Gajan and Arul were in Japan for a conference. The industry as a whole is experiencing a serious labor shortage due to an aging workforce and a younger generation's aversion to heavy labor and simple tasks. Another issue is the slow evolution and adoption of technology: many companies have yet to adopt the latest technologies such as IoT, AI, and robotics, and integration with existing systems is also a challenge. Shu - Accounting Manager After graduating from Waseda University with a major in literature, he worked in international taxation at Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. and led accounting for holding company accounts and M&A at Recruit Co., Ltd. He joined Rapyuta Robotics to expand his finance expertise while supporting companies facing socially impactful challenges. Currently, he offers a wide range of financial services, including offensive support for company growth through fundraising and business plan development, as well as defensive support through closing accounts and establishing internal control systems. Employee Introduction Shoko - Inside Sales She majored in Development Studies at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and studied in the United States. After graduation, she worked as a sales representative for industrial cranes at Sumitomo Heavy Industries Transport Systems. Inspired by her volunteer work in Thailand during high school, she pursued a career focused on enriching society and joined Rapyuta Robotics in January 2022. As a member of the sales team, she is dedicated to providing solutions that integrate software and hardware, aiming to build customer trust through tailored proposals. Tad - VP of Project Management After graduating from Hiroshima University with a degree in Information Engineering, Tad worked as a software engineer on various programming and design projects. Recognizing the limitations of other companies' products, he joined Rapyuta Robotics to make a more direct societal impact. Currently, as Project Manager Leader, he oversees the execution of the Rapyuta PA-AMR (Collaborative Picking Assist Robot) project, guiding it from implementation to the start of operations. Jaiyam - Robotics Software Engineer After earning a doctorate in semiconductor technology, he joined Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. to pursue his passion for robotics, working on recognition systems for agricultural robots and an automatic operation project for space construction equipment. In January 2023, he became a Perception Engineer at Rapyuta Robotics, where he addressed customer issues within the Automated Warehouse (ASRS) team. Leveraging his extensive experience, he rapidly led the development of a new robot and now serves as a team leader in system integration.
29. We holds a monthly All-hands meeting where all employees participate, which embodies one of our six core values –Openness. These meetings enable us to clarify our targets and objectives for the future.
