Matt Mullenweg is a co-founder of WordPress and founder of Automattic, the company that acquired WooCommerce in July 2015 as a first step towards making it easy for anyone to sell online independently, without being locked into closed, centralized services. Matt was born and raised in Houston, Texas and writes code, prose, and music.
