    of supported models for your POS and select from the recommended printers. Even though some POS apps allow the connection of receipt printers besides the supported models, it is better not to risk it and choose from the supported list.

    models • Durable performance • Simple connection • Wide documentation • Network of service centers • Ability to solve possible technical issues with printers
  5. Thermal receipt printers Pros: • Printing speed • Picture quality

    Cons: • Heat sensitive receipts that may lose image
  6. Dot-matrix printers Pros: • Image is not affected by the

    heat. Good as kitchen printers. Cons: • Noisy • Slow • Low quality • Extra consumables

    power outlet Mobile (moveable) receipt printers with installed batteries

    print from one paper loading. • Connection to power outlet needed. • High printing speed. Recommended to use in fast-paced environment with > 100 customers a day
  9. Mobile printers • Installed batteries allow them to work without

    connecting to an outlet. • Compact size, take little space on the counter, possible to be held in the hands. Recommended to use in a not so busy environment < 100 customers a day

    choice for a limited space environment (especially with mobile printers) and in a low customer flow. Cons: • Connect to only one POS • Limited length to POS • Unstable connection • Printing delay
  13. USB printers Pros: • Simple and stable connection • Small

    printing delay Can work in a customer flow of different sizes. Cons: • Connect to only one POS • Wire limits length to POS • Occupy a USB socket of mobile device
  14. Connection with external devices Check if the printer has RJ11

    • If your device stops working, you need to change the whole machine. Pros: • Saves time and money by buying only one piece of equipment.
