Two principles for LLM-generated personas • Base them on primary user data • Static persona narratives (e.g., using LLM as an assistant in thematic analysis) • Dynamic personas (e.g., using RAG) • Try to evaluate the quality of the LLM-generated personas • Internal validity = how good the personas technically are (i.e., how well they correspond with the underlying data) • External validity = how adoptive human users are to the personas (e.g., Persona Perception Scale)
