    the fishermen • Total turnover, approx. 800 mill EUR in 2014. • Total volume in 2014 = 720 000 tonnes • Approx. 1 800 transactions per day in the top season. • Approx. 600 resource controls at the pier per year. • Credits to fish buyers. Approx. 85 mill EUR as maximum outstanding's in 2013. • We secured the payments to approx. 4 300 Norwegian vessels in 2014. 02.12.2015

    eats all the seafood from Norway? 60 % of the exported volumes ends in the EU markets.
  10. Significance of arctic seafood production for the EU 02.12.2015 •

    More than 25 000 emplyees depends on the supply of seafood from Norway. (SINTEF, 2014) • In addition, notable volumes of seafrozen seafood products from Russia are landed, re-shiped and processed in the EU. Causing additional number of jobs in the EU. • The EU fleet catch more than 50 000 tonnes of seafood in the arcit. More than 10 vessels from the EU operates in the arctic and employ approx. 5 – 600 fishermen.

    crucial for the Norwegian economic situation. • The EU have essential economical benefits from the seafood business in the Arctic. • EU regulations should take in to consideration the fishing- and seafarming activities in the arctic. • It is important that we keep the sea clean!!!!
