  5. CONFIDENTIAL © PayPay Enjoying Four Seasons While Working in Japan

    - The working culture at PayPay is similar to the US startup environment. There is less distance between managers and employees, and people are encouraged to open up to share ideas. Besides, we are having people from more than 50 countries. It is a comfortable environment to work in English. -In Japan, being able to experience four seasons is one of the things I enjoy the most. Different from Taiwan, you are able to enjoy different scenes and activities based on each season, such as sakura viewing in Spring, fireworks festivals in Summer, leaf viewing in Autumn and hot spring in Winter. Besides, I am a big fan of Japanese music and culture. Living here allows me to easily access what I like and even explore further. The Reason for Moving to Japan to Work at PayPay
  6. CONFIDENTIAL © PayPay - PayPay is a significant company in

Japanese society’s infrastructure, handling cutting-edge technology. The rapid release of high-quality products means you can grow quickly and learn a lot. - The food culture between Japan and Bangladesh is quite different, which has its challenges. In everyday life, I can get Indian groceries easily, so meals aren’t an issue. But when traveling or hiking, if there are only Japanese food options available, I have to prepare in advance due to dietary restrictions related to my religious beliefs. That said, I love Japanese food, especially the fish and sushi—they’re absolutely delicious. I’m also a fan of udon and have it every week without ever getting bored! 7. CONFIDENTIAL © PayPay - At a company whose products reach

more than half of Japan’s smartphone users, whatever we do in PayPay has a meaningful impact on Japan's society. I love the sense of achievement after seeing the features we developed rolled out to millions of users, not just to everyday users but also businesses. We are challenged to deliver our best while collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds, making the journey even more exciting and rewarding. -Japan always fascinates me with how life here balances simplicity with endless discovery. As someone who actually lives in a pretty quiet neighborhood, taking a stroll can suddenly open up to a shrine, park, or shop you didn’t know existed—a local gem if I may say so. What I love the most is how safe and reliable things feel, whether it’s late-night walks or the trust that things will run as they should. 8. CONFIDENTIAL © PayPay - The working style at PayPay is

flexible with an excellent and diverse team. For me, it’s an ideal environment with open and friendly communication. Our team shares a strong commitment to improving our products, fostering an environment where we can freely express our opinions, challenge each other, and learn, irrespective of our roles. We engage in numerous challenging projects that expose us to the latest technologies, contributing to my professional growth and enjoyment of the work. - In Japan, I was surprised the high-context culture of “reading the air.” Even now, I occasionally find myself lost in translation. In the realm of communication, I’m progressively grasping the nuances of the language. Here, I frequently encounter new situations which bring me delight as I embrace them as discoveries, fostering my sense of joy in continuous learning. 9. CONFIDENTIAL © PayPay - It is an unique opportunity to

work in such a large scale company, whose product is used by millions of users in Japan, while having a startup culture. I would say no day is the same. Everyday is full of changes and challenges, because we don’t settle for what we have achieved and always aim for the next level. -Japan is a country where you can experience a mix of unique traditions and incredible modernization. I have been living in Japan for more than 8 years and there is still so much more to explore. Even if I stay in Tokyo, there are new things coming up every month, which I found interesting and inspiring.
