  1. RICHARSON’S SPECIALIST BAKERY Richardson’s is a local Bakery on Swindon’s

High Street, Wiltshire, South East England. Richardson’s specialises in cakes sweets and all things baked for local people and special events My task is to give this small, local business a web presence, so they can increase awareness and improve trade. The website should contain all the information a potential customer might need. For example, location/contact details, product descriptions along with suitable images, opening times and any other useful and relevant information. In addition, since the business does not currently have a strong brand image or any marketing expertise, I will need to develop an engaging brand identity in order to attract new customers.
  2. BAKERY WEBSITES I LIKE ←I like the simplicity of Swirls

site and the page layout ←I like the use of colour and imagery on Irwins site ↑I like the professional feel from the Little Venice site
  3. ELEMENTS OF SITES I LIKE ←Simple use of Typography, structure

and layout ←Simple symbols and icons for navigation ↑Simple use of colour and navigation
  4. COLOUR PALETTES I LIKE These two colour palettes I like

as i think they are fresh and uplifting, non gender specific and feel they could work as accents on a simplistic background ⇇ Gold lounge Soft Soft basics Copy of neapolitan These two colour palettes I like as i think they are warm and welcoming, and could work to make the site feel more friendly and welcoming ⇉
  5. LAYOUT- IMAGE IS EVERYTHING I’d like to try using a

flexible layout. The layout style I have chosen to use is navigation and contact details at the top, business Information for clients at the side of the page and any further details in the footer. Image of product in the main block, as for a small business the product needs to engage the clients attention immediately. I will try to follow this style of layout throughout the site.
  6. THINGS I NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE I START TO DESIGN:
