Going from an MVP to a product used daily by many customers doesn't happen overnight. Neither does its infrastructure. WooRank was built as a single application on just one database, where new features were stacking up... until it became a monolith that was barely scalable. Over the years the monolith has been deconstructed into little micro-services owning their own database of choice, and talking together to offer a smooth user experience. This enables the company to form small product teams that are responsible for building, deploying and maintaining their own services independently and allows people to move from team to team in a flexible way. This talk will cover the hurdles Woorank had to overcome, will share the hard lessons learned, and peek into what's to come in the near future.
