Gary Grant, Ecologist and Green Infrastructure Planner

I am an independent ecologist with 30 years of experience of ecological survey and assessment, habitat creation and restoration, green infrastructure planning and site design and management. I work closely with built-environment professionals encouraging them to use the ecosystem services approach. I began work with the London Wildlife Trust in the 1980s and moved into consultancy in 1989, spending most of the 1990s in Hong Kong, Until 2009, I was a Director at AECOM Design + Planning working on large scale planning projects like the Bedford River Valley Park, London 2012 Olympic Park, Education City in Doha, Qatar, Zavidovo Resort, Russia, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi and the Whitehill-Bordon Eco Town, Hampshire.
