    • I was a normal kid as any other one next door • As age progressed my mobility decreased • Could not complete Degree • Finally, had to stick to Wheelchair lifelong I must have physically immobilized but it did not affect me a bit MENTALLY. I digested the fact of the situation and started leading a normal life. I am on WHEELCHAIR from 1996 onwards.

  6. Striving for Accessibility Friendly Cities / Workplaces ACCESSIBILITY FRIENDLY CITIES

    – MY DREAM WOW (Wonder on Wheels) Foundation strives to spread the importance of making the Cities Accessibility Friendly by providing inclusive access to people with different types of disabilities in all places. “Every time I venture out of my house, I’m worried that I will be stranded,” because “I have constantly faced this issue in most of places in the city, including Offices, Temples, Parks, Movie Theatres and Malls. Sadly, I can't even go to a temple to worship,” So I felt a strong need to address the Accessibility issues among the public places. And thus started an NGO called WOW Foundation.

    Lack of understanding in workforce at Public Places towards Disable People • Absence of Disability friendly Transportation Facilities • Unavailability of Ramps, Lifts and other Supporting Systems • No special Parking Lots Eventually, this situation lead them to restrict themselves despite of having lot of aspirations, ideas and dreams.

    BE ADDRESSED STRONGLY Learning Environment •The majority of educational institutions like colleges and universities do not possess facilities for physically challenged persons. Lack of facilities at these places is like denying them the right to education. Transportation •Buses & Bus Stations and Trains & Railway Stations are not disability friendly. Places of Worship •Very few places of worship are accessibility friendly. Trade & Business Places •Unavailability of disable friendly facilities at Trade and Business places restrict them from visiting such places. Entertainment & Leisure •Many multiplexes, theaters and resorts are not offering facilities for physically challenged. Heritage Destinations & Historical Monuments •Even with prominent heritage destinations, tourist places and historical monuments, accessibility is not maintained in the true sense.

    WEB ACCESSIBILITY Today Web is an important resource in many aspects of life like • Education • Employment • Government • Health care etc. We should provide equal access of digital information to people with disabilities in all the above sectors so that they can also actively participate towards the development of the society. This is mostly related to VISUAL IMPAIRED, HEARING IMPAIRED, COGNITIVE DISABILITIES.

    Audited and Tested the Accessibility preparedness of L&T Metro Station at Nagole, Uppal Depot and got Appreciation Letter Audited a proposed Cultural Space at Phoenix IT SEZ for changing their existing facility into an accessibility friendly facility.

    GALORE WOW (Wonder on Wheels) Foundation Social initiative “Accessibility Friendly Telangana”, Hyderabad Chapter was launched by Shri V. B. Gadgil, Chief Executive & Managing Director, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited on 24th Dec 2015 at L&T Metro Administrative Office, Nagole, Hyderabad. The program was attended by Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, GM & Head Corporate Communications, PR & Advertising , L&T Metro Rail (Hyd) Ltd., Mr. Narendranath, L&T, Ms. Vandana, L&T, Mr. Seshadri Padigala, MD & CEO at ODC Consultants, Mr. Prabhakar Mangina, MD & CEO at Srilaasya Floral Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

    Rotathon WOW Foundation was Community Partner for Rotathon, 5km walk for a literate India, Organised by Rotary Clubs of Hyderabad Region on 28th Feb 2016. ‪ ‪ Prelude‪of Infinity Ride 2016 WOW (Wonder on Wheels) Foundation was part of ‪ ‪ Prelude‪ of Infinity Ride 2016 organised by ‪ Aditya‪Mehta Foundation (AMF) recently on Special Invitation at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad.     Film WOW Foundation is also part of Hyderabad Metro Rail Promotional Film. We tested the Nagole Metro Rail Station for the accessibility. It's awesome experienced for testing and auditing Accessibility at the station. Kudos to entire L&T Metro Rail team. WOW Foundation supported Social Cause - Walk for Water We supported Walk for Water Foundation who conducted an awareness rally on 22nd March 2016 from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM near KBR Park, Hyderabad. Its aim is to create awareness and promote “World Water Day” The rally was flagged-off by Shri. Bonthu Rammohan, honorable Mayor – GHMC Hyderabad. PROGRAMS / EVENTS GALORE

    Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan felicitates Narsing Rao Bongurala for 'Te3n' poster design Despite being confined to a wheelchair, Narsing Rao Bongurala has won the hearts of Bollywood celebrities with his talent and creative skill. He participated in the contest as one in 60,000 people from across the country and stood in the top 12 list. Not just that, he was felicitated by Bollywood’s celebrities Amitha Bachchan and Vidya Balan. The winners were honoured in a special ceremony in Mumbai. Big B Amirabh Bachchan and Bollywood actress Vidya Balan graced the event which was held on June 4, 2016 in Mumbai and presented the awards for top 12 designers. Mr. Bachchan hugged Narsing Rao Bongurala and presented autographed award to him. Narsing Rao said that it is the most unforgettable moment in his life and with this moment made me forget that I am a physically disabled person and boosted my confidence levels.

    from Sri. Nayini Narsimha Reddy, honorable Home Minister. Telangana for designing a CMS based website for Saroornagar Mandal Swarnakara Sangham. My story featured in an Inspirational Book written on famous differently abled people success stories called VIJETHALU. Author Smt. Sandhya Palaparthi. Also got appreciation award from His Holiness, Sri Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vidyaranya Bharathi Swamy for Serving Srisitharama Narayana Swamy Devasthanam for their digital needs. Got Spoorthy Award 2016 from Padmavathi Institution for the Disabled given by Shri Vamsee Ramaraju supported by Telangana Tourism in Ravindra Bharathi. AWARDS & REWARDS
