Interpreting and Presenting the Heritage of the Scottish Canals

Scottish Canals have been reassessing how they interpret and present the heritage of the canals. In the age of digital and social media the means by which heritage and history is conveyed has an immediacy far greater than was available or possible 20 years ago. Similarly the style and design behind canal-side interpretation has moved from the provision of content rich boards to a variety of medium and design styles that engage a diverse audience.
