2. YCIS believes in providing a well rounded education for our pupils, which provides them with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve great things in their adulthood. Our mix of Eastern and Western educational philosophies in our Kindergartens builds the academic, intellectual and personal foundations of our students. Our Policy This begins in our early years education and carries through our primary and secondary schools.
3. Kindergarten Stages Kindergarten 2 Kindergarten 3 Kindergarten 4 2 Year Olds This will often be a child’s first experience of school. Teachers focus on bilingual language skills and communication by using story books, play, and “show and tell” activities. 3 Year Olds Creative and emotional skills are built in this stage through play and problem solving challenges. Independence is also encouraged in this stage. 4 Year Olds Continued development from stages 2 and 3. Stories are used in our literacy syllabus. Preparation for primary school begins in the last 3 months.
