    to display in a way that makes sense for the type of content • The editor is simply another type of field • An “entry” is an instance of a content type • Reference fields are used to create links between entries What creating content in Contentful looks like 14

These changes are temporary unless you save the list as a new view ! ! Archived entries do not show in the main content list, but can be accessed through searching or from a saved view !
  19. Creating an entry 25 Creating new entries To begin, click

    ‘Add entry’ and select the content type. Depending on your user permissions, you might see a different set of content types than a teammate sees.

    of content, which can have links to other entries and media assets.

    enter into the title field is automatically added to the top bar. Each line is an individual field. These fields were chosen, named, and ordered by your team. Fields

    details about the entry like the content type, when it was created, who last made changes, and more. ! Auto save happens every few seconds, version number shows how many times the entry has auto-saved !
  23. 29 Details of the entry editor Preview If your admins

    have configured a preview environment, you can use this button to preview draft entries. Links A list of all other entries that are linking to this entry. Translation If you are using localization, click ‘Change’ to hide / show localized fields. Status Published: entry is being delivered to your end apps Draft: the entry is not being delivered to your end apps Updated: a publish entry that has been updated; republish to make changes live Archived:: the entry is not hidden from the ‘Content’ list Versions Use to compare published versions of the entry.
  24. The media library 30 Looks and functions similarly to the

    ‘Content’ tab ! Shared and personal views works the same as it does in the ‘Content’ list !
  25. Assets vs. media files 31 All media in Contentful is

    contained within an asset Asset The object that contains a title, description & a media file. Media The file itself; can be an image, video, .pdf, etc.
