  1. Event Promotion: 24/7, 365 Live Events have a shelf life,

but their promotion does not. Reach out to your social channels and keep your event at the front of your audiences feed by sharing photos, linking similar blog posts, asking questions and staying engaged with your following even if your event has just ended and wont return for another year (or three).
  2. Whether it is your event chairs, your committee, your sponsors,

or speakers, put together a list of tweets, facebook posts, photo shares and more so that it is easy for your team to share news and updates about your events. Make Sharing Easy Your competitor’s tweet fdafda faf Your competitor’s tweet fdafda faf N
  3. Humans have dismal attention spans. When promoting your event, curate

content that reaches your audience where they are, when they are. Relevance = Now (not next month) Are the holidays around the corner? Your guests may be excited about your July event, but its not at the front of their minds. Suggest they buy tickets as a gift for their friends and loved ones to reach them when they are.
  4. Do not be afraid to break some email marketing rules.

Own Your E-Mails You don’t send emails on weekends because its not when guests will read them? Neither is anyone else. You sent an email about a new performer on Tuesday, but you booked another on Thursday? Let your list be the first to know. Just be smart, strategic and non-spammy, and E-mail can be your best friend.
  5. Events are exciting experiences, so show what your guests are

missing if they don’t register. If you have hosted the event before, you had better have gotten some quality pictures, if this is the your first run, find someone to design or animate visuals that capture your guests attention. Be Visual
  6. Identify your Call to Action (CTA) early. Most events will

be a call to purchase tickets. Some free events will simply look for shares. Never miss an opportunity to include your Call to Action in every step of your marketing strategy. Include an opt-in link on your blog post for early ticket announcements, host campaigns that drive likes and follows to your social accounts, just make sure that every function of your promotion drives back to that Call to Action. 7. Nothing is more annoying than wasting your promotional chops on

people who don’t care about what you are offering. Spend some time defining your target market. Using tools like EventKloud’s Audience Tracking Tool, you can identify that market AND understand how to best communicate with them. Target. Target. Target.
  8. Being mobile is more than just having an optimized website.

It is about leveraging promotion tools that put your event in the hands of your audience. Targeted op-in text campaigns, giveaways, tasteful, useful commentary all can be quick and pointed opportunities to promote your event. Do not over-do it. The golden rule applies. On The Go Promotions
  9. Event Promotion is as much about understanding your audience as

it is about persistence. Take the time or hire someone to with the tools to further that understanding, and you will see the return. IN CONCLUSION
