picture messages that disappeared after 1-10 seconds. • Then shifted to Stories, strings of snaps that lasted for 24 hours. Users would create snap stories that included snippets of concerts, sporting events, and more. • Snapchat teased the concept of Live right before launching OurStory, focusing on live event experience like the Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy Festival and the New York Marathon.

  6. Events are Social • Social sharing by attendees of your

event can build a strong brand for your event. • People having a unique and exciting experience generates a strong fear of missing out (FOMO). • Snapchat leverages that FOMO by capitalizing on the here and now by making real time, temporary experiences sharable across entire social networks. • Because its real time, it is hard to generate sale and build attendance for your event on the day of, but if your event is multi-day, annual, or has any other level of repetition, this is a great opportunity to enhance social engagement and drive attendance.

certain quality of content from their “Friends” Your Brand = Their Snapchat Friend Share content that matches what they see from their friends. Taco Bell Announcement Snap
  8. Call to Action You only get one 1-10 second chance

to market your event. Make your “friends” feel a sense immediacy – think of it as a challenge, a jolt of energy. Take a selfie with the stage. Snap-A-Sponsor Wristband Snaps
  9. SnapSecrets Early Bird Ticket Sales? Special Artist Announcement? Password to

  15. No One Is an Expert Snapchat marketing is a new

venture – not even Snapchat knows the best way to market using their app. Whether you’re creating real time content or staging planned snaps, ROI is currently impossible to measure.
