Satellites, aerospace industry Region USA Use case Video data capture The challenge A 32-bit SPARC processor controls an array of 128 GB raw NAND-flash memory that streams real-time video. To maximize lifetime, data should be stored evenly across all memory cells. The software also must not steal CPU cycles from the system. How Tuxera helped Tuxera’s software fit seamlessly into VxWorks OS used by the customer. It also supported the requirements for low power use, flash lifetime optimization, and file system integrity under all circumstances, even during power failure. The software was also configurable to the needs of the COL-SSD’s very special hardware architecture.
