1. The Worst Social Media Advice on the Internet (How To Get Unsolicited Dick Pics)
2. There’s a lot of social media advice out there. Most of it sucks. Much of it will have creepers galore sliding into your DMs.
3. Quantity Matters Quality matters. And quality posts take time and care to craft.
4. Delete Negative Comments Delete offensive comments. Have a PR strategy to handle complaints/corrections.
5. Post on ALL THE NETWORKS Do your research and post on the network(s) your demographic views.
6. Just Worry About Facebook! Nope! C’mon Goldilocks
7. Link Your Accounts/Automate Use native size images and craft posts that fit the platform.
8. Mass Follow Nope! This is where all of my unsolicited dick pics come from. Curate.
9. Seriously. Avoid the “max follows a day” rule
10. Use Trending Hashtags Research the best hashtags for your content/demographic.
11. Create Unique Hashtags Don’t be lazy. Do your research and grow organically.
12. Social Media is an “Extra” File under: The Intern Can Handle It.
13. Avoid falling into the habit of doing it when you can.
14. Like Every Comment. Comment back to Influencers. Engage and be authentic or get off social.
15. Give Your Account a Personal Feel No one wants to hear you complain.
16. Pick TWO or THREE interests and include posts about them. (once in a while)
17. Hard Sales! That’s What Social’s For 10% of the content. Period.
18. Do. Every. Challenge. Be picky. Stay relevant to your content, tone and core values.
19. Just do it! You’ll figure it out as you go. You need a strategy from the start. X
20. Tweet/Post/’Gram While Drunk! Sure you’re a wine blogger but seriously… step away from the keyboard.
