Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Success Factors • 1890 open positions (as of 1/24/20) • Success Factors allows you to search by: keyword, location, requisition number, affiliate and job category • Take special note of location when applying as Johns Hopkins has locations in: DC, Southern Maryland and Howard County 3

Reviewing The Job Description • Does your background qualify for the position? • What are the education and experience requirements? • Does the experience on your resume accurately reflect your experience? • Does the role fit your overall career progression and goals? • Carefully review the criteria for applying for the position. • Are online assessments part of the application process? Skills assessment? 5

Completing The Application Process • Most applicant tracking systems (ATS) will require that you complete a username and password. • Maintain a record of your log-in details and credentials. • Some positions will require only an application, however recruiters prefer a resume and an application. • Most applicant tracking systems will “parse” your resume into application fields, making it easier to apply for various positions. 6
