4. ORIENTATION • Will need to occur on first day of rotation or the day prior, we will send you reminders. • Brief discussion that explains: • Expectations of residents (show up on time, reading list, take full responsibility of patient) • Expectations of rotation (case load, responsibilities, rotation leader, education highlights) • End of rotation quiz (will occur in last week of rotation, will be reviewed with them by attending)
5. EVALUATIONS • Attendings will use milestones • Residents will evaluate the rotation, will tell us if they went over the quiz, will also tell us which topics were discussed. They will also report to us any issues.
6. THE FUTURE • Once this is in place, we will meet again to discuss the next step of changes. • My goal is to have this for all rotations (orientation, goals and objectives, end of rotation quiz) • This framework will be adjusted to meet the needs of the rotation.
